TV Channel 2 > On Location (Part 5) - Dolbadarn Castle, Llanberis, North Wales, UK
Date : Friday 27 July, 2018
Duration : 11 minutes, 35 seconds
Built in the early 13th Century, Dolbadarn Castle lies at the base of the Llanberis Pass in North Wales. Its large stone keep remains the finest surviving example example of a Welsh round tower.
As the rain began to fall, I filmed a short video of the site, including a close-up view of the castle interior and staircase. This dramatic location conjured up thoughts of what actually happened here during the castle's heyday and all those who who played a part in its history.
In 1941 the castle was given to the State. It is now maintained by Cadw and is protected as a Grade I listed building and as a scheduled monument
